Divine Vision (Right Mouse Button hold) reveals hidden Prayer Spots, afflicted NPCs, quest markers, and Ancient Scrolls that are completely invisible otherwise. Activate it every time you enter a new area and sweep it across the full environment before engaging with any story objective. The energy cost is low and the payoff — especially for finding hidden Prayer Spots — is enormous.

Prayer Spots are the game's primary energy restoration mechanic. Skipping one — especially in the Judean Desert (Chapter 2) or before the Legion exorcism (Chapter 3) — can make boss encounters and high-energy miracles impossible to complete without reloading. Always prioritize finding Prayer Spots over advancing the main story objective.

I Am Jesus Christ uses both autosave checkpoints and manual saves. The autosave system does not checkpoint before every miracle — it checkpoints at story beats. If you fail a difficult resurrection or exorcism and the autosave was placed earlier in the level, you lose significant progress. Manual save (press Escape → Save) before every boss fight, exorcism, or resurrection.

Every NPC conversation in the game awards at least 1–5 Followers. While individual gains seem small, the cumulative total directly affects the post-credits scene length and the Palm Sunday crowd density. Players who ignore NPC conversations typically finish with 80–120 Followers. Players who talk to everyone finish with 180–250+. Make a habit of pressing E near every highlighted NPC.

The Walk on Water sequence introduces a Faith Balance Meter at the screen center. Many players panic when it drifts toward red and press sprint — which instantly breaks the water-walking effect. The meter self-corrects within 2–3 seconds if you simply slow down or stop momentarily. Never sprint during Walk on Water under any circumstances.

The Resurrection soul guidance minigame appears 4 times with increasing difficulty (1, 2, 3, then 5 tendrils). The key principle is always the same: move in curved arcs, never straight lines, because tendrils use straight-line pathfinding with a 0.5-second lag. A curved arc causes tendrils to perpetually 'miss' you. Practice this with Jairus's Daughter (1 tendril, slow speed) until the curved movement becomes instinctive.

Hold Divine Vision when entering any region and pan slowly — Prayer Spots, scrolls, and purple disciple markers often hide in corners.

Divine Vision drains energy over time. Pulse it briefly to tag targets, then release while travelling.

Prayer Spots recharge energy once per gameplay session by default. However, if you save at a Prayer Spot and immediately reload the save, the Prayer Spot resets to its recharged state. This is the most powerful technique in the game. Use it before the Satan boss fight (Chapter 2), before the Legion exorcism (Chapter 3), and before the Lazarus resurrection (Chapter 4) to always enter at 100% energy.

Chapter 3 Galilee Villages has a time-efficient completion order. Route: Cana (Water to Wine) → Capernaum dock (recruit Peter, Andrew) → Capernaum synagogue (exorcism tutorial) → Peter's house (cure mother-in-law) → Capernaum paralyzed man → Matthew's tax booth (BEFORE synagogue second visit) → Capernaum crowd (woman's cloak) → Magdala (mute exorcism) → Gerasa tombs (Legion) → Bethsaida well (blind man) → Sermon on Mount → Nain road (Widow's Son) → Sea of Galilee coast (Walk on Water/Feed 5,000). This route visits each area exactly once with no backtracking.

When healing NPCs with multiple affliction points (especially the 10 lepers — each has 2–4 points), use a consistent top-down sweep from head to feet. The healing beam auto-locks to affliction points within 1.5 meters but only if your cursor passes over them. Sweeping top-down ensures no points are missed. Moving the beam laterally or in circles is less reliable and takes longer.

In the Chapter 2 Satan boss fight, Phase 2 adds a 270° fire arc sweep. The sandstone pillar in the top-right corner of the canyon arena creates a geometric blind spot. Position Jesus so the pillar is between him and Satan. Satan's fire arc cannot physically reach this position. From here: wait for Satan's charge, step 1.5 meters left (just enough to be visible and bait the charge), then step back to the pillar blind spot during his 2-second recovery. Fire RMB counter during recovery. Repeat.

Chapter 3 contains the highest concentration of energy-costly miracles. Approximate energy costs: Healing (1 leper = 5%, 10 lepers total = ~40%), Mute exorcism = 15%, Legion exorcism = 70%, Jairus resurrection = 25%, Widow's Son resurrection = 30%, Walk on Water = 20%, Feed 5,000 = 10%. Total for 100% completion: ~250%. With 6 Prayer Spots and the Reset exploit, this is achievable. Prioritize Legion exorcism (highest cost) after a full recharge.

The Gethsemane Prayer Spot in Chapter 5 offers a unique +15% permanent Holy Spirit Energy capacity bonus if you pray for a full 5 minutes without leaving the prayer position. The 3 sleeping-disciples interruptions do NOT count against your time — the prayer timer pauses during those scripted sequences. Simply return to the prayer position each time they fall asleep again. Combined with the Jordan River hidden Prayer Spot (+5%), entering Chapter 6 with a 120% capacity bar is achievable.

Even 1–5 Followers per NPC adds up. Prioritize Galilee before the Jerusalem lockout.

Wait for the crowd to gather fully before starting the sermon for maximum Follower gains.
