I Am Jesus Christ is a first-person biblical simulation game developed by Space Boat Studios and published by PlayWay S.A., built on Unreal Engine 5. Released in full on April 2, 2026 after a successful Early Access period, the game lets players embody Jesus of Nazareth across six chapters of the New Testament narrative.
Players perform over 30 distinct miracles — from turning water into wine at the Wedding of Cana to resurrecting Lazarus — using an innovative mechanic called Divine Vision (activated by the Faith resource) to highlight interactive objects and reveal divine opportunities. The game also features exorcism battles, multi-step healing minigames, a follower-recruitment system tied to sermons, and a climactic confrontation with Satan.

Read chapter →✨ Miracle Categories
Every miracle in I Am Jesus Christ belongs to one of four categories, each with distinct minigame mechanics and Faith costs.
Healing Miracles
Cure the sick, blind, lame, and afflicted using a click-based skin lesion removal minigame. 9 distinct healing miracles throughout the campaign, each with unique visual effects and biblical context.
Exorcism
Stun demons using Faith blasts, then drag them through a glowing portal to hell. Includes the Legion exorcism (most complex encounter) and several standard possessions. Demons resist if Faith is low.
Transformation
Story-critical miracles including Water to Wine, Feeding the 5000, Calming the Storm, and Walking on Water. Most are cinematic sequences with player-controlled timing elements.
Resurrection
Guide a soul through a spiritual realm to the gates of heaven while fending off darkness. Three resurrection miracles including the iconic raising of Lazarus. Requires high Faith reserves.
⚡ Core Gameplay Systems
Understanding the two-resource system is fundamental to mastering I Am Jesus Christ. Manage Faith and Followers wisely to unlock the best outcomes in every chapter.
Faith Resource
Faith is your primary energy bar. It powers Divine Vision (hold to reveal interactive objects), enables you to stun demons during exorcisms, reduces damage from Roman soldiers, and is consumed by major transformation miracles. Faith regenerates automatically over time but can be boosted instantly by visiting Prayer Spots scattered across each region.
- Always locate Prayer Spots at the start of each chapter
- Never enter an exorcism zone with less than 50% Faith
- Divine Vision drains Faith passively — toggle off when not needed
- Faith is fully replenished at each chapter checkpoint
Followers Resource
Followers represent your growing influence and are accumulated through performing miracles in public, completing side quests, delivering sermons at key locations, and recruiting the 12 Disciples during their dedicated quest lines. A high Follower count is required for several chapter-end events and affects the breadth of the Feeding the 5000 miracle.
- Healing miracles in crowd areas grant the most Followers per action
- Each of the 12 Disciples has a unique recruitment quest — don't skip them
- Sermon minigame: match the crowd's emotion to maximize Follower gain
- Minimum 500 Followers needed before Chapter 4 begins

💡 Essential Tips for New Players
Before you start your journey, know these critical tips that most players miss on their first playthrough.
Activate Divine Vision before entering any new area
Divine Vision (hold the designated key) highlights every interactive object, NPC in need, and hidden Prayer Spot. Missing this means missing miracles and Faith bonuses entirely.
Complete all Galilee side quests before the Jerusalem prompt
Once the game prompts you to "Prepare to leave for Jerusalem," all Galilee Village side content locks permanently. Do not proceed until you've exhausted all yellow markers.
The Legion exorcism is the hardest missable encounter
Located in the cliff tombs of Gerasa, not marked on the default map. Only revealed via Divine Vision. Contains the game's most complex exorcism encounter and a unique achievement.
During the Satan boss encounters, exploit the stun window
Satan has a predictable attack pattern with a 2-second post-attack window where he staggers. Concentrate Faith blasts in this window — attempting attacks outside it is ineffective.
Prayer Spot locations are permanent fast-travel Faith refills
Each region has 3–6 Prayer Spots. Once discovered, they appear on your map permanently and always restore Faith to full. Map them early and route your playthrough around them.
The Sermon minigame determines your Follower efficiency
During sermons, watch the crowd's visual reaction cues — golden glow means they are receptive, grey means disengaged. Match the intensity of your sermon delivery accordingly for a 2-3x Follower multiplier.
🔑 Gate Puzzle Solutions
The gate puzzles in I Am Jesus Christ require specific interactions with environmental objects, activated in the correct sequence using Divine Vision. This video covers all major gate and environmental puzzle solutions.
💡 Tip: If a gate won't open, return to the nearest Prayer Spot to fully restore Faith before attempting again — some puzzles have a hidden Faith requirement.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about I Am Jesus Christ.
I Am Jesus Christ is a first-person biblical simulation game developed by Space Boat Studios using Unreal Engine 5. You play as Jesus of Nazareth from the Baptism at the Jordan River through the Crucifixion and Resurrection. The gameplay combines exploration, narrative dialogue, unique miracle minigames (healing, exorcism, resurrection), and boss combat against Satan. It is a single-player, story-driven experience with approximately 10–12 hours of content.
The main story — covering all 6 chapters from Baptism to Resurrection — takes approximately 10–12 hours. A completionist run that includes all side miracles, all 10 Ancient Scrolls, all 12 disciple recruitments, and all optional NPC interactions takes 13–16 hours. There is currently no New Game+ mode.
Yes, but it is different from typical action games. The primary 'combat' is against Satan in Chapter 2 — a movement-based dodge-and-counter boss fight using your Holy Light beam. Exorcism also has a combat element: stunning demons with Holy Light, then dragging them into Hell Portals before the portal closes. There is no weapon combat, no killing of human characters, and no traditional fighting mechanics.
Yes. If Holy Spirit Energy reaches zero during a miracle or boss fight, the sequence fails and you reload from the last checkpoint or manual save. The game does not have a traditional 'death' — Jesus cannot be killed. However, failing to resist Satan's temptations (wrong dialogue) costs energy, and failing an exorcism or resurrection restores from the checkpoint. The game is forgiving for casual players.
Holy Spirit Energy is the core resource of the game — the equivalent of a mana or stamina bar. It is consumed by activating Divine Vision, performing healing and exorcism miracles, fighting Satan, and guiding souls in resurrection sequences. It is restored by praying at Prayer Spots (glowing locations scattered across each level). In the Judean Desert (Chapter 2), energy drains at 2× the normal rate. Permanent capacity bonuses can be gained from the Jordan River hidden Prayer Spot (+5%) and the Gethsemane Prayer Spot (+15%).
Divine Vision is a special sight ability activated by holding the Right Mouse Button (RMB). It reveals hidden Prayer Spots, glowing affliction points on sick NPCs, quest markers for optional miracles, Ancient Scroll locations, and demon presence in exorcism scenarios. It costs a small amount of Holy Spirit Energy per second. Always activate it when entering a new area to find all hidden content before advancing the main story.
